This is a great song by an unsigned artist. He's coming outta Brick City (New Jersey.) Anyone in the industry should definitely check this guy out, he's right for signing. I've heard that he's a great improv, he can hear a beat, like it, and create three quality, eight-bar verses at the drop of a hat. Check him out!

Bother. I mean, brother April 20, 2006

Filed under: Family — Gabe Kyne @ 5:55 pm

Ugh. Today, my mom left for Sacremento. She's on Spring break, and decided that she wanted to have a "slumber party" with her sister. She's up there 'till Saturday.

I should have seen it coming: my mom gone and only my dad here…my brother was about to wreak hell on our family. My dad is very gullible, and my little brother knows it. He screamed and cried and yelled until my dad almost cracked. I don't know what it is with him, but it seems like he's always trying to get my dad's blood pressure up. I hope my dad dosen't die from this.

An Explanation, Part One April 19, 2006

I don't know what my world is coming to. I mean, really, when you see gas prices a $3.07 and students getting suspended for crimes they didn't commit, it just makes you wonder.

This blog is an experement of art, sound, and meaning through the medium of text. People say that I write like a journlalist, and I think I do too…my paragraphs are never over five sentances long.

Let me tell you about myself. I'm twelve years old. I go to KIPP Summit academy in San Lorenzo. I want to be a program designer when I get older. I can write in two languages (English and HTML), and I'm learning a third (Ruby). In my area is 90% Spanish speakers, so I'd like to learn that as well.

Back to my school; that's what this blog is all about. KIPP is a charter school. There's forty-eight of them around the nation. Every student arrives at 7:30am and leaves at 5:00pm.

And it sucks.

Let me rephrase that-I can see where KIPP can give us more oppurtitunities and such-I should be happy, I just got a twelve hundred dollar scholarship to Stanford Jazz Camp with a reccomendation from my principal. But at this school, the bad outweighs the good. It's a totaltarism government similar to that of Russia in the 1950's. When students do something that appears bad, we aren't usually allowed to tell our story, and when we do, we're not allowed to leave until the teacher or staff member makes us crack and say that we're wrong, and what really happened didn't happen, and what the teacher saw was the truth. It's mind control, really.

I've got to sleep now, but there'll be more on KIPP and its good and bad sides tomorrow and in days to come.

Rubyonrails

Entering Editor again…

To be, or not to be? That is the question. Better to be torn apart by slings of arrows. . .

Great!
works!

And now we're back in
! Awesome!

Exiting phrase test:

              "Good Luck, and Good Night".

How did that pass?? That's the name of a movie! Oh well…bye
